“What stands out is its remarkable location between Banff and Jasper, making it a practical stop for exploring the Icefields Parkway. While somewhat remote-and running on its own generator-it now offers Wi-Fi in common areas, and the views are undeniably spectacular. I see this as a solid, if rustic, choice for those prioritizing location and access to hiking.”

convenient stop with helpful staff

friendly staffhelpful staffquick relocationexcellent buffet
The staff was friendly and helpful in the motel, restaurant, gas station, and gift shop. our original room had a water issue on the carpet. Staff quickly moved us to another room despite the 'no vacancy' sign. the icefields parkway closed soon after we arrived, yet the staff remained cheerful. i returned the next evening for the all-you-can-eat buffet which was excellent.
the windows were closed and the room was very hot when i arrived.

Convenient Stopover with Great Amenities

great locationuseful servicethin wall
I appreciated the location, situated perfectly between Banff and Jasper. The on-site store offered plenty of necessary supplies. there was a gas station available. I also found a laundromat, a very useful service during a long journey.
The walls seemed a bit thin, and I could hear noise from nearby rooms. This was occasionally disruptive, especially late at night.
Rooms
9/10
The room was equipped with two queen beds, providing ample space. The bathroom was CLEAN, and I found all necessary amenities in good working order. I thought the provided toiletries were of good quality.
