The Conch House Heritage Inn is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The inn reflects Classic Victorian styling and Bahamian influences, including high ceilings, wood shutters, wrap-around porches, tin roofs, picket fences, and gingerbread accents. The inn is operated by descendants of Key West settlers, including the great-grandchildren of an island grocer who shipped supplies to Cuban revolutionists in 1895. The inn dates back to 1852, when John J. Delaney, a brick mason, helped build Fort Zachary Taylor.
