The Cavendish Motel has 47 air-conditioned rooms accessible via exterior corridors. The Main Building has 38 rooms on 2 stories with exterior hallways; most rooms have 2 double beds or 1 queen bed, plus 3 luxury queen suites with whirlpool tubs and 2 king rooms. The Motel Annex is a one-story 'L' shaped building next to the Main Building, featuring 8 rooms, each with a deck and either 2 Queen beds or 2 Double beds. Three Annex units have full kitchens. Cottages have three-bedrooms, a full kitchen, a living room, a 4-piece bath, satellite TV, and air conditioning in the living area; each has a deck with a BBQ and outdoor furniture; one cottage has a private deck, and the other has a shared deck. All rooms also offer ironing facilities, heating, tea and coffee facilities, a sitting area, a dressing area, a dining table, a patio, garden furniture, cookware/kitchen utensils, an electric kettle, a flat-screen TV, and parquet floor; bathrooms offer free toiletries and a hairdryer.

The Resort at Cavendish Corner includes a restaurant. A free full breakfast is offered. Since 1958, a family restaurant has served lobster with all the trimmings.

Facilities include a museum, flower gardens, a gift shop featuring Anne of Green Gables(TM) products, Matthews Carriage Rides, and a children's playground overlooking the Lake of Shining Waters. Guests can tour New London Bay by parasail or on a sea-doo, and get their picture taken in period clothing. The surrounding gardens have BBQ facilities and a children's playground. Recreational amenities include a fitness center and a seasonal outdoor pool. Indian River Classical, world, and jazz highlight this music series performed in the acoustically outstanding St Mary's Church designed by Island architect William Critchlow Harris.
