The Attwater has 17 rooms with Apple TVs, coffeemakers, mini-fridges, and iPads preprogrammed with local information. All rooms offer comforts such as premium bedding and air conditioning, plus free Wi-Fi and bathrobes. Many rooms feature barn doors that lead into the bathrooms. Rooms include comfortable beds, luxurious bedding, Keurig coffee makers, iPod docking stations, refrigerators, free Wi-Fi, and bathrooms with standalone showers stocked with Lather bath amenities. Shades of turquoise and navy blue enhance the curtains. Rooms also have heating, air conditioning, a sitting area, a dining table, a flat-screen TV, and parquet flooring. Suites come with a sofa, refrigerator, iPad, and flat-screen cable TV. Some suites feature a fireplace, seating area, and microwave.
Dining at The Attwater
The Attwater serves a free, curated small plates breakfast where guests can enjoy as many dishes as they want in the modern cafe. Homemade baked goods, pastries, breakfast salads, granola, baked egg dishes, fresh fruit and juices are on offer. A small cafe serves a variety of coffee and espresso drinks. Guests can also find complimentary snacks in the afternoon.
Leisure and Activities
Guests can borrow an iPad loaded with local tips. A scavenger hunt throughout Newport is available through social media apps. Guests can use the amenities at the sister resort, Gilded, including a funky lounge and a private courtyard. There are two common areas for guests: the back wooden deck and an indoor lounge. The back wooden deck is a secluded and quiet option featuring wicker chairs and vibrant cushions. The main building is a historical property with the original house name etched into the entrance stone and a small front patio. Urban Beach House, a one-minute walk from the Main Building, has overt beachy decor with canvasses depicting beach scenes and shiplap walls. Guests also have access to a shared lounge. Also available is a funky and eclectic lounge at the front of the hotel with cow hair-upholstered ottomans, dangling glass chandeliers, and lacquered surfaces.

The Attwater is located in Newport, 1.5 km from Old Colony Newport and 45 km from T.F. Green. The Breakers are 2.5 km away, and the Museum of Newport History is 1.5 km away. Easton's Beach is 2 km away, while Trinity Church and Old Colony House are 0.5 km away. St Mary's Catholic Church is 1 km away, as is the Samuel Whitehorne House. Newport Museum of Art is 0.5 km away. Newport's famous Cliff Walk and the grand mansions lining it are an eight-minute walk away, as is First Beach. Newport Harbor is a 15-minute walk. Thames Street, packed with shops and restaurants, is a quick 10-minute walk away. Two shopping centers that house a grocery store, a few restaurants, and a convenience store are an 11-minute walk away.

There is a small and free parking lot between the two buildings, as well as a few designated street spots.
