Nara ice and Uji matcha shaved ice are popular in the summer. Bar Amberjack offers various cocktails made by a bartender who has won grand prizes in cocktail competitions. The bar also offers light snacks. Yamato tea daifuku specialty store GRANCHA is available, with the specialty "Kou, Fuku, Mochi," made with Yamato tea. All sake breweries in Nara 'Umasshu' offers fish, meat, and vegetable dishes. There are many great restaurants in the Higashimuki Shopping Arcade. "Manshodo' offers a variety of Japanese sweets.

Tenpyo Ryokan is 1.5 km from Nara and 50 km from Itami. It is a 1-minute walk from Exit 2 of the Kintetsu Nara Station and is located in the Higashimuki Shopping Arcade. NARA Park, Kofukuji Temple Five-story Pagoda, and Sarusawa Pond are within a 5-minute walk. Todaiji Temple and Kofukuji Temple are a 15-minute walk. Kansai International Airport is a 1-hour and 40-minute bus ride. Osaka Itami Airport is the nearest airport. Mizutani parking is available for JPY 1500 per day. Direct access from Kyoto Station (33 minutes via Kintetsu Express) and Osaka Namba Station (32 minutes via Kintetsu rapid express). Direct access from JR Osaka (48 minutes via JR rapid, 8 minutes on foot from JR station). Direct access from Kansai Shimbun Airport (about 90 minutes via limousine bus) and Osaka Airport (60 minutes via limousine bus).
