Rooms at Takao Kanko
Takao Kanko Hotel offers 19 air-conditioned rooms. Each room includes a flat-screen TV, a refrigerator, and an electric kettle with green tea. Certain rooms feature a seating area. All rooms are decorated to ensure guests feel at home. Accommodations include tatami (woven-straw) flooring and Japanese futon bedding. Guests enjoy views of the Kiyotaki River.
Dining Experience
Guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant. A Japanese breakfast is served in the dining area. Dinner is served in a "Kawadoko " open-air dining area from June to September. Dinner consists of either a multi-course meal with local delicacies or hot-pot cuisine. Menu orders must be placed by 18:30.
Leisure and Facilities
Guests can take advantage of an indoor public bath, laundry facilities and enjoy various activities such as hiking. The ryokan bathing area is open from 6:00 AM. Public bath/onsen services include an indoor mineral hot springs and a yukata.

Takao Kanko Hotel is situated in the Arashiyama, Takao district in Kyoto, within a 15-minute drive of Doshisha University and Ninnaji Temple. Nearby landmarks include Otagi Nenbutsu-ji Temple (3 km), Saimyoji Temple (0.5 km), Jikishi-An (2.5 km), Daikaku-ji Temple (3 km), Kinkaku-ji (5.5 km), Jingo-ji (0.5 km) and Kozanji Sekisuiin (0.5 km). The hotel is 15 km from Karasuma and 60 km from Itami, where Osaka Itami Airport is located. Guests can take a JR bus from Karasuma Chuo Exit of JR Kyoto Station.
