About the Hotel
Rooms & Suites
The Stanley offers 374 rooms, including Superior, Standard, and Family rooms, plus Suites. Rooms include air conditioning, LCD TV, a mini fridge, and a safety box. Superior rooms and Suites feature espresso coffee & tea facilities; breakfast is served at Sweet Basil for these categories from April to November. Each room has a private balcony. Select rooms feature views of the city, landmarks, or mountains. Accessible rooms, ironing facilities (upon request), and extra-long beds are available. Bath amenities, a hairdryer, and Media Strom mattresses are standard. Rooms also include a working desk and smoke detectors. Select rooms are soundproofed and feature a sofa bed that sleeps up to two children (up to 12 years old). Suites open to a wrap-around balcony facing Karaiskaki Square and Odysseos Street. These suites include a king-size bed, two 55'' LCD cable TVs and a bathroom. Some suites have a private Jacuzzi.
Bars & Restaurants
The Stanley features two restaurants and two bars. Sweet Basil, the redesigned open-air rooftop restaurant, offers Mediterranean and international dishes with panoramic views of the Acropolis and Lycabettus Hill. Icarus Restaurant, located on the first floor, serves breakfast and lunch, including Greek and Mediterranean specialties. The Cloud 9 Roof Bar specializes in fruit juices, cocktails, coffee, and snacks with a backdrop of the Acropolis. The Day Bar offers light snacks, coffees, and desserts, and is suitable for business meetings.
Leisure & Entertainment
Guests can use recreational amenities, including an outdoor pool, sauna, and fitness center with cardio and weight training equipment. The Cloud 9 rooftop terrace spans over 1,500 square meters. This offers views of the Acropolis and Lycabettus Hill.
Location & Transportation
Located in Metaxourgeio, The Stanley is near performing arts theaters and galleries. It is directly in front of the Metaxourghio Metro station, a taxi stand, and tour bus stops. The Acropolis Museum and Syntagma Square are a five-minute metro ride away. The Acropolis is four metro stops from the hotel. Ermou Street is three metro stops. Attica City Link is also three metro stops. Plaka is four stops away. Thiseio is one metro stop to Omonia, then two stops towards Piraeus. The hotel is near the Athens Central Fish and Meat Market. The Onassis Cultural Center is a taxi ride away.
