The Standard, Downtown LA has 207 rooms with minimalist appeal, platform beds, white Egyptian cotton bedding, extra-long desks, and walls and curtains with mod swirls and stripes of slate gray, mustard yellow and cream. Even the smallest rooms include queen-size beds with 100 percent Egyptian cotton bedding. Room features include big windows that open, table that seats six, separate water closet, and an extra-long work desk. Options range from 300-square-foot Medium rooms to the 915-square-foot Penthouse. The 590-square-foot Humongous room has space for just about anything.

The hotel's restaurant serves American comfort food like NY strip steak and eggs. Hermanos Coffee in the lobby provides espresso drinks and pastries. The most popular spot for a drink is the see-and-be-seen rooftop bar, which has striking views of downtown LA. Nightly DJs, food and special events have established the Rooftop Bar as one of LA's prized nightlife hot spots. Room service is available 24/7.
