Rooms and Suites
South Beach Resort has family suites and rooms with private balconies and in-room Jacuzzis. Rooms include complimentary Wi-Fi, a flat-screen cable TV, a Keurig coffeemaker, a hair dryer, and toiletries. The King Balcony Lakeside Room has a king bed, a private balcony with views of Sandusky Bay, a Jacuzzi, and a sleeper sofa. The Queen Balcony Lakeside Room has two queen beds and a private balcony with views of the water. The Family Suite features a king bed in a separate room, two sleeper sofas, a Jacuzzi, and a separate vanity.
Cottages for families
Cottages accommodate six to twelve people. Cape Cod Style Cottages feature a front porch or deck, one queen and six double beds, four bedrooms and two baths, a full kitchen with oven and dishwasher, and a washing machine and dryer. Villa Style Cottages accommodate eight people with two queen beds and a queen-size sleeper sofa. Cottages can be chosen based on location, such as on the beach or near the pools.
Leisure and Activities
The resort has a private sand beach and three heated pools, open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The upper pool area features two pools and a pirate ship sundeck. The lower pool is located on the water's edge, with views of the marina and the bay. Guests can use the playground, tennis courts, sand volleyball, basketball, badminton, horseshoe, and shuffleboard. Paddleboard and jet ski rentals are available. The resort features a new pirate ship themed splash pad with an interactive cannon, a ship's wheel, a treasure chest, and randomly squirting floor jets. A nightly bonfire is available.
Location and attractions
South Beach Resort is in Marblehead, near Lake Erie Shores and Islands. Nearby attractions include Cedar Point (with water taxi service available), Put-in-Bay, Kelleys Island, Marblehead Lighthouse State Park (1.5 km), and Lakeside Chautauqua (3.5 km). Other points of interest are Johnson's Island Confederate Cemetery (3.5 km), Cedar Point Shores (5 km), and Lakeside Chautauqua. Guests can visit the Antique Car Museum or the Historical Society Museum. Guests can explore Lakeside's tradition and culture.
Services and Amenities
The resort features a marina with seasonal and guest dockage. Fishing is available off the breakwall, docks, and fishing pier, with opportunities to catch Walleye, Perch, Bluegill, Bass, and Catfish. The resort provides water taxi service to Cedar Point. Spa services include Swedish, hot stone, and couples massages, as well as aromatherapy facials. The hotel also features venues for weddings, receptions, banquets, meetings, and retreats, including a Tent Lawn that accommodates an 80 ft tent for 120 people.
