Sofitel Luang Prabang is located in Ban Mano, a quiet residential area within walking distance of Luang Prabang's Old Town center. The UNESCO-protected hotel features heritage design, luxury amenities, and complimentary Wi-Fi. All rooms include private back gardens, iPod docks, and flat-screen TVs. English language DVDs are available from reception. Garden Suites offer 55 sq.m. (592 sq.ft.) of space, Lao silk decor, a garden with an outdoor gazebo, and a bathtub. Bathrooms include a rain shower, an indoor bathtub, and a dressing area. Lao and Western Cuisine

The hotel features a new restaurant in a cool-fanned pavilion in the center of the courtyard. The Library Restaurant serves a fusion of Lao traditional cuisine and fine western cuisine. The Governor's Grill steakhouse overlooks botanical gardens, serving local buffalo meat specialties cooked on the grill and patisseries. A charming restaurant has outdoor tables overlooking the courtyard and an atmospheric interior with shelves of books. The restaurant also doubles as a library with books to borrow. There is also a colonial-style bar.

Pool, Spa, and Fitness

The hotel has a large swimming pool. Le Spa, housed in a restored old building, offers ancient Lao rituals and modern techniques. Massage therapists and beauticians provide treatments. The fitness center features TechnoGym equipment. Yoga classes are available.

It is five minutes from the town centre and 10 minutes (5 km) from Luang Prabang International Airport.
