Kiptopeke is also a birding area where hawks, kestrels, and osprey are observed from September through November. Golfers can play at Bay Creek's two 18-hole Signature Courses designed by Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer. Fishing charters are available with Capt. Neil Lessard at Bayshore Marina.
Area Attractions
The Eastern Shore is known for its fishing opportunities. The hotel is near the National Wildlife Refuge, which provides habitats for migratory songbirds, raptors, and monarch butterflies. Holly Grove Vineyards, a family-owned winery, is located on the Bayside of Virginia's Eastern Shore. Eastern Shore Pottery, offering a variety of crafts, is located 1/4 mile from the hotel on US 13. The Palace Theater is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
