Rooms and suites

Rib Mountain Inn provides standard rooms with two queen beds, a mini-fridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker. Adjoining rooms are available. Deluxe studio rooms feature a pullout sofa sleeper, a full kitchen, and a wood-burning fireplace; firewood is available for purchase. Townhouses and villas range from studio units to four-bedroom homes. These include a full kitchen with a stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, dishes, and basic utensils. A living area with a wood-burning fireplace and sofa is also included, with a walk-out balcony or patio.

Dining options

Guests can enjoy the All Day Coffee, Cocoa & Tea Station which offers a variety of hot beverages. A complimentary breakfast is served daily from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the lower level of the Inn. Breakfast items include bagels with cream cheese, toast, peanut butter and jelly, cereal, breakfast sandwiches, oatmeal, juices, and Belgium waffles.

Leisure and activities

Rib Mountain Inn is located 300 yards from the lift to Granite Peak, offering access to 700' of vertical and 225+ acres of terrain. Three terrain parks, including the Granite Grom Park, are available. Guests have access to the hot tub and sauna at the Main Inn, as well as use of the Lobby, during lobby hours. Nearby activities include hiking, biking, and kayaking at Rib Mountain State Park and Nine Mile County Forest Recreation Area.

Location and transport

Rib Mountain Inn is located 15 km from Wausau Municipal Airport. The hotel is situated at the base of Granite Peak Ski Area, near downtown Wausau, which offers dining and shopping. Nearby landmarks include the Yawkey House Museum (6 km), The Center for the Visual Arts (5.5 km), and Marathon Park (4 km). The Farmers Market is located at 400 River Drive, Wausau on Wednesdays and Saturdays from mid-May through mid-November.

Services offered

Rib Mountain Inn offers complimentary guest washer and dryer access. Extended stay guests (longer than 1 month in a townhouse or villa) are the only exception. There are designated smoking areas located in the front walkway and backyard area. Trailers or extra-large vehicles need advanced approval for space accommodation. Quiet time is 10:00 pm - 8:00 am daily during Off-Peak Season, 11:00 pm - 8:00 am during Peak Season.
