Unique Apartment Features
Rhinoceros features 25 apartments with architecture and interiors by Nouvel, combining original architectural details with exposed electrical, plumbing, and ventilation systems, stainless steel apartment doors, and industrial-inspired iron and concrete stairways. Apartments include home automation systems, designer L'Occitane toiletries, a flat-screen Bang & Olufsen television, a kitchen with a refrigerator, stovetop, and dishwasher, plus a coffee/tea maker. Each apartment is unique in size, layout, and décor. Double-paned windows provide a quiet night. Available are Deluxe, Superior and Penthouse apartments offering views of ancient Rome. Some apartments have two adjoining units that can sleep up to four. Rooms also offer heating, air conditioning, a mini-bar, a sitting area, a wardrobe, an in-room desk, and garden furniture. Bathrooms feature rain showers, futuristic faucets, luscious towels and robes, a toilet, a private bathroom, a bidet, slippers, and free toiletries. Free WiFi and wired internet are available.
Dining with a View
The top floor and rooftop are home to the Caviar Kaspia Roma fine-dining restaurant. It features a panoramic dining room and three outdoor terraces with views over Rome. Palazzo Rhinoceros' fourth-floor dining room and fifth-floor rooftop are home to Caviar Kaspia, sister restaurant to the Parisian cult favorite. Head chef Giovanni Giammarino delivers Italian dishes. Expect ravioli stuffed with crab, sea bass tartare, and passion fruit cheesecake disguised as an egg. The wine list includes Italian and international labels curated by sommelier Alessia Meli. Note that the cereal, juice, and yogurt are a let down after a stellar dinner experience.
Art and Culture
Rhinoceros by Alda Fendi is an art gallery with 25 apartments, a rooftop restaurant and three terraces. Art installations and performances are held in the Sole and Luna courtyards, combining elements of the past and future. The architecture highlights the stratifications of the past, present and future. The contemporary décor and furnishings by Vitra and Cassina honor the present.
Location and Proximity
Located in Dubai Media City, Rhinoceros is a 10-minute walk from the Roman Forum and Circus Maximus, a 10-minute walk from Piazza Venezia, and a 15-minute walk from the Colosseum. Landmarks nearby include Palatine Hill (1.5 km), Piazza di Spagna (2 km), Castel Sant'Angelo (2 km), Largo di Torre Argentina (1 km), St. Peter's Basilica (2.5 km), Campo de' Fiori (1.5 km), and Trevi Fountain (1.5 km). The restaurants and nightlife of Trastevere are to the west, and the Roman sites of the Palatine Hill are to the east.
