I appreciated the room's cleanliness. Everything was super clean. fresh bedding was provided. complimentary shower gel, shampoo, coffee, tea condiments and biscuits were available. the staff were also very friendly and helpful. the hotel maintained its historic charm well.
the tv in my room needed tuning, which slightly disrupted my relaxation.

I found the walls rather shabby. Flaking paint was quite visible. loud music played late into the night from the pub below, disrupting my sleep. the cramped bathroom also had an unpleasant smell.

the hotel has a really wonderful atmosphere and it felt well maintained i noticed it still kept its historic charm our room was clean i found the bed very comfortable it faced the front of the building however i wasn't disturbed by noise.
i had a slight problem with one of the windows in my room it wouldn't open fully

the staff were always quick to help with requests it was easy to see they cared about guests i requested an extra towel and it was delivered to my room within minutes the staff smiled and greeted me each day.

The room was spacious and well appointed. It seemed like great value. my room was checked daily, and the tea and coffee were replenished, that was a plus.
There was no kitchen on site, so i had to drive out to find an evening meal. This was inconvenient! the bar staff could not make a simple sandwich either.

The staff demonstrated real kindness. They made a breakfast just for me! The room had interesting decor. The bath was perfect after a long day exploring the Brecon Beacons, and the bed allowed me to sleep soundly.
The television in the room did not work. The picture was permanently broken up. I needed it tuned, but I couldn't figure out how to do it.
