The Radisson Blu Polar Hotel is appreciated for its central location in Longyearbyen, making shops and bars easily accessible, and for being close to attractions like museums. Guests often highlight the fantastic breakfast with a wide selection, including great coffee, and many rooms offer lovely views of the town and mountains; some even spot reindeer from their windows. The breakfast was good. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
I was disappointed by the junior suite. It was located in the apartment building away from the main hotel , and it was on the ground floor. The furniture was of poor quality , and the flimsy curtains let in all the light.

Very nice Arctic Adventure!

comfortable sofafriendly staff
The hotel location is fantastic! Everything is in easy walking distance, that's a huge plus. I enjoyed a junior suite with a nice view of the fjord, and it had a comfortable sofa. The staff were friendly. Many spoke several languages fluently. I felt very well looked after.
I had to walk to another building to access my room! This involved putting on and taking off winter clothes each time I visited the main building.

The junior suite provided a beautiful fjord view and a comfortable seating area. The room was clean with basic amenities, and it was warm.
Dining

Breakfast offered a lot of choices! I especially enjoyed the coffee and doughnuts. The on-site pub had tasty pizzas. There are multiple choices for everyone.

decent stay

wonderful selectioncentral locationhelpful staffbody hairdirty bathroomabsent apology
i enjoyed the breakfast. it had a wonderful selection. it was a great way to start the day. the dining room windows offered a beautiful view with reindeer often visible in the yard. the central location was convenient and the staff were very helpful.
the room wasn't cleaned well. i found body hair on the bathroom floor. there was urine splattered under the toilet seat, and the floor was not vacuumed. the receptionist didn't even apologize. she sent a cleaning service that cleaned the bathroom and said they would prioritize cleaning my room tomorrow.
