historical charm with modern touches
excellent locationhistorical displayhelpful staff
the location was excellent, just a short walk from the main attractions (perfect for exploring). the hotel showcased its history beautifully with displays and explanations throughout. i found the staff to be warm and helpful.
the room decor felt a little dated.

The open-air dining room provided a pleasant setting for meals. I liked the water fountain's sound. breakfast included a variety of options, with an egg station preparing fresh dishes daily (i enjoyed the omelets).

the spa offered a lovely experience, including a fantastic malay massage. the traditional design and spaciousness of the ground floor were particularly appealing. i found the inner courtyard to be a serene and beautiful space.

mixed feelings on this stay
bathroom odorlimited breakfast
the room had some issues i didn't expect. the bathroom had this strange odor, almost like mildew, i found it unpleasant. also, the soundproofing wasn't great, i could hear noise from the hallway and nearby rooms. the breakfast options felt limited, they lacked variety and the food wasn't particularly fresh.
