July and August offer a team of animators. Guests can use the AcquaPlaya spa, with its laguna vibe featuring fake rocks and plants among the pools and hot tub, offering personalized services. The spa in Rota features Indo-Roman baths, fruit and pebble pools, saunas, jacuzzis, an ice cave and rainwater shower, a plunge pool, alternating hot and cold foot bath, themed pools, and heated pools with water jets. Senzia Playaballena Spa has a hydro-wellness circuit and massages, plus therapeutic and beautifying body and facial treatments. A hammam is available.
Location Highlights
Playaballena Spa Hotel is located on the beachfront in Rota, near Costa Ballena golf course, between Chipiona and Sanlúcar de Barrameda in the Bay of Cadiz. The hotel is in an area with vineyards in Jerez and cartujanos riding stables. It is 45 km from Jerez. Nearby are the Cabo de Gata-Níjar Natural Park, the Tabernas Desert, and the Karst in Yesos de Sorbas. It is near 6 kilometers of beach. Guests can wind an 18-hole links course designed by José María Olazabal and practise ranges for all levels.
