Dining Options
Pachira Lodge includes onsite restaurants offering buffet-style meals with views of nature. The meals feature fresh, local, and organic ingredients. A welcome cocktail is provided upon arrival. Packages include all meals, from breakfast to dinner. En-route lunches are provided on the way to and from San Jose. At the beverage station, guests can enjoy coffee, tea, or hot chocolate.
Leisure & Entertainment
Pachira Lodge offers a turtle-shaped outdoor pool and sun terraces. Guests can explore the tropical gardens or participate in canopy tours and green turtle spotting. Spa services are available, including manicures/pedicures, Swedish massages, and facials. Yoga sessions are also available on a floating platform over the Tortuguero canals or in a studio with canal views. Guests can tour the tropical gardens of the Lodge. There are many activities available in the area, including canoeing and hiking. From July to October, green sea turtles come to lay their eggs. A night hike is available along a private trail to discover nocturnal wildlife. Also available is Tortuguero hill tour, with panoramic views.
Location and Transportation
Pachira Lodge is located five minutes by boat from Tortuguero National Park, across from the town of Tortuguero. It is situated on the main canal. The tourist center is 3 km from the hotel. The lodge is 130 km (81 miles) from San Jose, approximately a 4-5 hour trip. Bus transportation is provided from select San Jose hotels. Guests traveling from La Fortuna or the Southern Caribbean can meet the tour at El Ceibo Restaurant in Guápiles.
Services
Pachira Lodge provides a currency exchange counter at the welcoming foyer. Included tours are a boat tour through Tortuguero National Park canals, a walk through the hotel's private trails, and a visit to the town of Tortuguero. Bilingual guides accompany all tours. The lodge has implemented sustainable practices, including using recovered ocean plastic for personal care product bottles and employing the piling method for infrastructure to minimize impact on terrestrial ecosystems.
