“Staying here might test your tolerance for 'vintage' decor, with some guests finding the upkeep less than inspiring. While the staff's friendliness gets a nod, the overall experience seems to hinge on managing expectations. If you're prioritizing budget over polish, it could suffice, but be prepared for a no-frills stay.”

Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
The Avari Beach Hotel is often chosen for its convenient location, being within walking distance of the town center, Coral Island, and just a short walk from Blackpool's seafront and beach. Some rooms offer sea views, and the spacious rooms include nice showers. While a few guests have mentioned minor cleanliness issues, its proximity to attractions like a large amusement park and water park (around 100 meters away), plus a smaller free-entry amusement area on a pier just 50 meters away, makes it a potentially great spot, especially for families.

Convenient Stay

helpful staff customer priority comfortable bed
I found the staff very helpful. They prioritized customer needs. The beds offered comfort. The hotel is a short walk from the town center and Coral Island.
I noticed the kettle had to be boiled on the floor because the sockets were very close to the ground.
Facilities
9/10
The location is near a major amusement park, similar to Liseberg. It also sits close to a popular water park and a smaller amusement area without an entry fee on a pier. This pier is just fifty meters away.
Dining
8/10
I bought breakfast at a Spar shop a short distance away. This was convenient since we wake up early before many cafes open. The hotel location is close to many dining options.

Surprisingly Solid Stay

amazing staff excellent shower convenient location
The staff demonstrated amazing support. They helped resolve a small disagreement my partner and I had. They were always available and ready to help. The room's shower was excellent, actually the best shower I experienced in a hotel, and the room had sufficient heating. I found the location convenient. It was a short walk to the beach.
The windows needed cleaning.
Rooms
8/10

A breakfast option was available each morning, providing sufficient variety for a satisfactory meal. The dining area was kept clean, with a calm setting and maintained to a high standard.
Facilities

The hotel had complimentary Wi-Fi access throughout the premises allowing guests to stay connected. The lobby provided a seating area and this offered a relaxing place for visitors.

Acceptable Stay with Minor Issues

polite staff helpful staff good location slight smell room smell poor ventilation mould
The staff was very polite and helpful . The location was also good, situated close to the sea front (it was a short walk).
The room had a slight smell. The bathroom showed mould, a sign of poor ventilation (I think a simple exhaust fan could solve it).

surprising seaside find

friendly proprietor great value comfortable beds
The proprietor was cute and friendly. This made settling in easy. i found it great value, especially considering how close it was to local amenities. the beds were comfortable, a definite plus after a day exploring the area. This helped ensure a restful night.
the entrance area had some clutter around the stairs, including a pushchair and some scattered debris, I found it a bit untidy, and it gave a slightly disorganized impression.
