Twin Rooms include electric kettle, mini fridge, free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, a work desk, ironing facilities, air conditioning, and a hairdryer; windows overlook Sirkkala Park, River Pielisjoki, or the hotel courtyard. Twin Rooms with an extra bed include a lounge chair that converts into an extra bed. Superior Twin Rooms, located in the renovated wing, feature leather, velvet, and natural fur, with views of the hotel's courtyard or the Sirkkala neighborhood. Quadruple Rooms include two separate beds and a sofa bed, some with a bathtub, with views of Sirkkala Park, River Pielisjoki, or the hotel courtyard. Superior X Rooms add a private sauna, bathrobe, minibar, and sofabed, some with a balcony. The largest apartment (72 m2) includes a private sauna and balcony with views of River Pielisjoki, a bedroom, a living room, and a 200 cm wide double bed. Superior King Rooms, located on the upper floors, feature natural materials, velvet, and leather, with views of the Sirkkala neighborhood. Junior Suites have a double bed, bunk beds, and jacuzzi, and the living room sofa and bed chair can accommodate three persons. Superior Rooms include a double bed, sofa bed, and a bathtub, with views of the River Pielisjoki, Sirkkala Park, or the hotel courtyard.
Dining Options
Original Sokos Hotel Kimmel offers Bistro Heili, serving Northern Karelian cuisine by the Pielisjoki river. Las Palmas is a nightclub and evening restaurant open on Fridays and Saturdays. The hotel also offers breakfast in bed (available with specified drinks), gourmet snacks, and chef's cheeseboard, and savory snacks with local beer. Christmas Eve dinner is available in the Sirkkala ballroom on December 24th from 6pm to 9pm.
Leisure & Wellness
Guests can use the hotel's guest sauna (Vire), open from Sunday to Thursday, with separate hours for women and men, or book the private sauna for Fridays and Saturdays for 500€ for a 3-hour session (including bathrobes, slippers, towels and spa entrance for 10 persons).
