“This historic hotel, with its dog-friendly policy and homemade food available all day, is a solid choice for those exploring the Peak District. I found the Edwardian tea rooms especially charming, offering a unique dining experience and a touch of old-world elegance; however, some may find the rooms a bit dark, given the building's age. Overall, I'd say it's a traditionally styled base for exploring the Hope Valley.”

Decent Stay with Some Issues

loud musicpoor soundproofing
The noise levels were quite bothersome. I heard very loud metal music for hours from the kitchen since my room was above it. The music was turned down briefly after I complained. Then, it returned even louder. I had to sleep with earplugs. Later, I woke up to what sounded like an argument downstairs too.
