Nazuna Kyoto Tsubaki St is a luxury ryokan, constructed from machiya townhouses, and renovated from an L-shaped alleyway, spanning 1,400 sqm. Guests enter Tsubaki St through a reception building on a normal street. The ryokan evokes Kyoto's Hanamachi geisha district.
Guest Room Features
The 23 guest rooms feature a semi open-air bath, and are named after natural elements: TAKE (bamboo), MIZU (water), IWA (stone), HANA (flower), and HA (leaf). TAKE and MIZU rooms have a first-floor living room and a second-floor bedroom. IWA, HANA, and HA rooms have a first-floor bedroom and a second-floor tatami area with futons. Each room includes premium bedding, a pillow menu, free Wi-Fi, and air conditioning. Each unit also provides guests with a seating area and a desk.
Dining Options
Breakfast includes rice from Kome-Ryotei Hachidaime Gihey, with roots dating back to the Edo period, and dashi chazuke with seasonal flavors. Kyoto pickles and obanzai are served on one plate. Western breakfast includes jam, Kyoto vegetables, and Kyoto pork sausage. The hotel offers Wagyu course with marbled meat, red meat, tail soup, and grilled dishes.
