Naoshima Ryokan Roka features eleven suites, each equipped with open-air baths. The Roka Suite, can accommodate up to five guests and includes a dining space, a private deck, Awaji earthen walls, Tosa handmade paper, and Aji stepping stones. Premium Suites accommodate up to three people and offer views of the island village. Deluxe Suites include fixtures made with local materials from the Seto Inland Sea region. All rooms have air conditioning, a fridge, a minibar, a kettle, a bidet, a hairdryer, and a desk. Rooms also include a private bathroom with a shower and slippers. All rooms are fitted with bed linen.
Dining at Restaurant En
The hotel includes Restaurant En, serving Japanese dishes made with local seafood and seasonal ingredients. The sushi rice is local Kagawa Oide rice, seasoned with red vinegar. Dinner options include a sushi kaiseki course featuring seafood from the Seto Inland Sea, and a seasonal kaiseki course featuring local fish. Breakfast offers a choice of Japanese-style breakfast with rice, grilled fish, and miso soup, or a Western-style breakfast with ham, sausage, and an egg dish. The Cafe Bar serves homemade herbal liqueurs and non-alcoholic cocktails.
Art and Nature
Naoshima Ryokan Roka exhibits art by emerging Japanese talent throughout the facility. The hotel has a communal outdoor hearth. There is a project to recreate a hamlet-like scenery with fruit trees and a vegetable patch inspired by natural farming methods, produce from which is used in Restaurant En. The front courtyard has a lighting system that responds to world events with light and music. The hotel offers rental bicycles for exploring Naoshima Island.
