Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Miyajima Hotel Makoto offers a traditional Japanese experience with spacious rooms-some guests particularly enjoyed the Japanese-style rooms-and a convenient location just a short walk from the ferry terminal and close to the main attractions, including a 10-minute walk to the temple. Many guests recommend the traditional dinners, featuring fresh seafood, and enjoying the onsen. While some have noted the futon beds may not be the most comfortable, the overall experience allows you to fully enjoy Miyajima Island, even offering Japanese attire to wear when visiting the tori at night.

dated facilities, but acceptable stay

odd smell thin futon
the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, which i appreciated.
the hotel felt dated, the carpets in the hallway had an odd smell, it wasn't pleasant. also, the futon was very thin, it was like i was sleeping directly on the floor. i had to layer multiple futons just to get a little bit of comfort.
