Guests can enjoy a variety of on and off-mountain dining options, from cafe-style takeout. Tamarack Lodge features one of the restaurants in Mammoth. The Inn includes a dining room hosting ten tables in the historic Tamarack Lodge with views of Twin Lakes. It provides a family-friendly dining experience with traditional and vegetarian dishes, plus kid-friendly options. There are options for traditional Japanese ramen bowls, Toki Highball whisky cocktails and sake bombs.

Mammoth Mountain Inn provides access to various activities. In winter, there's convenient ski-in/ski-out access to the slopes and ski school. For families, there is 1.5 acres of slopes and free lift tickets for kids 12 and under. The Mammoth Adventure Center offers family fun and outdoor activities. Guests can enjoy snowcat tours to scenic spots with views of Mammoth Mountain, the Minarets, and Ritter Range. In summer, hiking and biking trails are nearby, with rentals, lessons, and guided tours available from the Cross-Country Ski Center at Tamarack Lodge. Mammoth Bike Park features 80+ miles of trails.

Located 25 km from Mammoth Yosemite, Mammoth Mountain Inn is near landmarks such as Pumice Flat (3.5 km), Disabled Sports Eastern Sierra (0.3 km), and Canyon Lodge (3.5 km). It's steps away from restaurants, shopping, and outdoor activities. The Village and Canyon Lodge Gondola are within walking distance, providing access to skiing and hiking trails. The hotel is next to a free village shuttle stop. Many photo-worthy sites along the way including Tuolumne Meadows, Tenaya Lake and Olmstead Point.
