Maekok River Village Resort features air-conditioned rooms with a mini-bar and TV. Rooms have either a private patio or balcony. The en-suite bathrooms include Balinese-style open showers. Facilities include archery, abseiling, high ropes and low beams courses, wall climbing, a basketball court, a table tennis room, a beach volleyball court, and a sports field. The indoor high ropes course features 11 sections. Guests can learn basic bushcraft skills or construct bamboo rafts. A 10-station cooking school offers Thai cooking lessons. There is also an English teaching program for local students, with opportunities for guests to participate.

Maekok River Village Resort is 85 km from Chiang Rai International. Thaton straddles the Kok River, which rises in Burma. Wat Thaton, featuring nine levels with temple complexes and Buddha images, is 1.5 km away. Guests can view Chinese graves along the road from Thaton to Chiang Rai. The resort is near the Lahu village of Huay Pha Khaem, reflecting the Lahu way of life. A vehicle takes guests on a 15-minute drive to the Lahu village of Pa Kui.
