Lees Ferry is rated as one of the nation's top fisheries. Local hiking spots include Cathedral Wash Trail, just inside the Glen Canyon National Park at Lees Ferry (1.5 miles to the Colorado River), and Soap Creek Trailhead, 15 minutes away, leading into the Grand Canyon National Park. An experienced hiker can reach the Colorado River from Soap Creek in 1.5 hours.

Lee's Ferry Lodge is located at the edge of the Vermilion Cliffs National Wilderness Area, 3.5 miles west of the Navajo Bridge on Highway 89A at mile post 541.5. It is 120 miles north of Flagstaff, Arizona, and 75 km from Page Municipal Airport. The lodge provides access to the Grand Canyon, Zion, and Bryce Canyon National Parks, as well as Lake Powell, Antelope Canyon, and Horseshoe Bend. Lees Ferry, with access to the Paria Wilderness Area, a launch ramp, and historic buildings, is nearby.
