The lodge's restaurant serves Mauritian cuisine with local produce. The menu changes daily and includes chicken and shrimp curry and fish wrapped in banana leaves. A bar/lounge offers drinks, and there is an alfresco Western-style buffet breakfast. Candlelit dinners are offered in the small covered restaurant, near the rustic bar, overlooking the gardens. Location and Access
Lakaz Chamarel Exclusive Lodge is surrounded by the Black River Natural Park and the mountains of Chamarel, in the south west of the island. The hotel is 43 km from Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Airport. The lodge is a 15-minute drive from the beaches of Morne and Baie du Cap. Landmarks nearby include Seven Colored Earth (5 km), Lavillion Natural Forest (3 km), and Piton Canot (1.5 km). Hiking in the Black River Gorge is nearby. A shuttle to Le Morne beach is available.
