Activities: Glacier hiking and kayaking experiences

Rooms: Deluxe rooms with fjord views

“Laerdal Hotel strikes me as a solid base for exploring Fjord Norway, especially for families; I imagine the location by the fjord and the playground are definite pluses with kids. The buffet gets high marks, but I'd probably check out the old buildings and arts center in nearby Lærdalsøyri for dinner one night, just to mix it up. All in all, it seems like a dependable choice, especially if you plan to spend most of your time outdoors.”
