Location and Transport
Located on the north edge of town at an elevation of 1200 meters, Kusatsu Now Resort Hotel is a 20-minute walk to the town center and the Yubatake hot water field. It is near Kusatsu Onsen Ski Resort (0.5 km), Environment Experience Amusement (1 km), and Shirane Shrine (1 km). There is a free bus service from Yubatake to the hotel. A direct shuttle bus service called "SPA Resort Liner" takes you to Kusatsu Bus Terminal from JR Karuizawa Station. The paid Spa Resort Liner bus departs once a day. The bus goes to the hotel from Kajibashi Station in about 4 hours, arriving at 15:00. The Shinjuku Station departure point is in front of the Shinjuku Centre Building along the Chuo-dori Street. JR Public Bus runs from Shinjuku Station to Kusatsu town center. There is free shuttle bus between the hotel and the town center throughout a day. Shuttle service to/from Yubatake is offered between 08:00-21:00. It is situated amid the forests of Japanese birch and larch.
