Excellent Staff and Convenient Location

The front desk staff was very friendly. They also spoke perfect English, so check-in was quick. Our group arrived a bit early. We were allowed to check in early. We were given a complimentary drink.

The hotel doesn't provide daily cleaning. Only towel change and trash removal are available unless you stay longer. More frequent cleaning would be a big improvement. We tried to keep the room clean, but the floor still became a bit messy after three nights.

Breakfast had great quality. I noticed no issues arranging a vegetarian meal. It provided a satisfying start to the day with varied options.

traffic noise stale coffee

I wasn't happy about the noise. the street outside was really busy, and i could hear traffic all night. i asked to switch rooms, which they did, but it was still louder than i wanted. the extra pillows i requested never arrived. This oversight was annoying. the coffee in the room was stale, i ended up buying some from a nearby store.

a very pleasant stay

great quality short cab ride quiet area clean room

i found the breakfast to be of great quality. the location allowed me to walk or take a short cab ride to different sites. the area was quiet, and it gave me a sense of being part of the local scene. i appreciated that they exchanged towers and took the rubbish out, even if they don't clean every day.

street noise inconvenient location

The street noise was disruptive. I requested a room change due to the traffic. The replacement room was slightly better, but soundproofing should be improved. the front desk being located on the second floor was inconvenient.

perfect location main station helpful staff

the location was perfect. i found it close to the main station and also not far from the gion area. convenience stores and restaurants were very close by (a family mart was right there). the staff was polite and helpful, they understood english well.

the room space was a little limited.
