The Historic Plaza Hotel features 70 guest rooms, with 19 rooms overlooking Plaza Park. Standard rooms offer views of the town to the east and west, north towards the mountains, or interior views. Rooms include free Wi-Fi, cable TV, ironing facilities, coffee-making facilities, and bathrooms with hairdryers. Some rooms have sitting areas. The hotel provides air conditioning and heating.
Dining at Plaza
The Plaza Grill & Tavern serves American and New Mexican dishes, steak dinners, and desserts. The Plaza Sip & Savor coffee bar in the lobby offers coffee, tea, pastries, and cakes. Guests can sip on sangria. A rib-eye steak dinner with a glass of Ruidoso Red is a fine meal.
Leisure and Activities
The City Recreation Center, two miles from the Plaza, features an indoor pool, full gym, racquetball courts, and basketball courts. Day passes are available. The 9-hole Gene Torres Golf Course is five minutes from the Plaza. Guests can find Navajo rugs.

Amtrak's Southwest Chief stops at the Castaneda Hotel, one mile from the Plaza Hotel.
