Other activities include bullock cart rides through farmland, vineyards, jasmine gardens, temples, coconut groves, and riverside trails to Gudalur village, a three-hour night trek to observe wildlife like civets and flying squirrels in the Thekkady forest, and spice plantation visits. A short elephant excursion into Periyar forest is also available, accompanied by a 'mahout' and guide. Guests can view coffee, cardamom, and tea plantations and tribal hamlets. Endangered species, including the Nilgiri Tahr and lion-tailed macaque, are often sighted near Gavi. Thekkady also preserves spices like cardamom, pepper, and cinnamon.
