The Grand Hyatt Kauai features nine bar and dining venues. Tidepools offers Hawaiian-style cuisine over a koi-filled lagoon at the base of a waterfall, specializing in local fish and steaks. Stevenson's Library, a Koa wood-panelled converted cigar lounge overlooking the sea, serves pre- and post-dinner drinks. Seaview Terrace serves Starbucks and light bites. Ilima Terrace offers a buffet. Guests can find other restaurants in Poipu, within a 5- to 10-minute drive from the Hyatt. Signature restaurant Tidepools is a better option than walking.
Leisure and Activities
Guests can play water volleyball or basketball, float in the lava-rock lined lazy river pool past waterfalls and caves, or experience the Poipu Bay Golf Course. The resort has a saltwater lagoon for kayaking and snorkeling. Umbrellas and cabanas are available for rent on Poipu's white sands. Anara Spa in Kauai promotes a culture rooted in nature. The Luau Show showcases Polynesian dance and culture on Wednesdays and Sundays. The Grand Hyatt includes multi-room gym, dueling lazy river pools open 24 hours a day and scheduled children's activities, from ukulele lessons to waterside races, and even seaside evening s'mores during the busy season.
