The Grand Canyon Lodge North Rim features rustic Frontier Cabins that can sleep up to three people, with one double bed and one single bed. Air conditioning and telephone are included in each unit.
Dining Options
The Grand Canyon Lodge Dining Room serves regional dishes with cuisine that has been served since the 1930s for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The chef and culinary team have designed a menu with regional flavors and historical cuisine. The Deli in the Pines serves morning coffee along with grab-and-go items and offers a variety of options to refuel for adventures. The North Rim General Store, near the North Rim Campground, offers casual breakfast options, coffee, and ice cream. Guests can also enjoy grab-and-go-style lunches, such as sandwiches and salads, made-to-order hot and cold sandwiches, pizza by the pie or slice, soup, and chili.
Leisure and Exploration
Guests can access the Cape Royal Trail for views of the east and west of the Grand Canyon. Hiking trails are available. The Uncle Jim Trail winds through the alpine forest to a point overlooking the canyon and the North Kaibab Trail switchbacks. The Ken Patrick Trail takes you on a trip through the forest and along the Rim from Point Imperial to the North Kaibab Trail parking area. Grand Canyon National Park participates in making this one of the easiest places to view California Condors, assisted the National Park Service to reduce light pollution and preserve the night skies, Guests join the Pete and Keela Mangum family and their wranglers on a mule ride into the Grand Canyon or take a trip to the north side of one of the greatest wonders in the world, the Grand Canyon. The Gift Shop offers souvenirs, curated gifts, and specialty items, including Native American crafts. Access to the Gift Shop and Coffee Shop/Saloon is gained by using the walkway that runs North of the Gift Shop.
Location and Access
The Grand Canyon Lodge North Rim is near landmarks like the North Rim Visitor Center (0.3 km), Bright Angel Point Trail (0.5 km), Bright Angel Creek (4.5 km), and Grand Canyon North Rim (0.5 km). The next largest city from the North Rim is Kanab, Utah, where you can stay at the Parry Lodge. The Kaibab Lodge is located 18 miles from the Lodge and Jacob Lake Inn is 45 miles from the Lodge.
