Glacier House Resort offers a range of accommodations, from cozy cabins to spacious rooms. Cozy Studio cabins have 2 queen beds and a pull-out couch, accommodating up to 5 guests. Loft Cabins feature a king-size bed and a pull-out couch, sleeping up to 3 people. Family Cabins include bedrooms and pull-out couches, with winter bed settings based on 4 single beds. Premium Family cabins have 2 bedrooms, one with a queen-size bed and the other with 2 single beds. Small Group cabins sleep up to 7 people, with a duplex layout. The two-story Large Group cabin has 6 bedrooms and accommodates up to 12 people. The Four Bedroom house sleeps up to 8 people and includes a private hot tub on the deck. Economy One King Bed Rooms have a south-facing balcony overlooking the Begbie Glacier. Single King rooms face north. Double King rooms face south, with views of the grounds and mountains. King Suites feature a south-facing balcony, a king-size bed, and a pull-out couch. Double King rooms with balconies also offer mountain views, seating areas, and gas fireplaces. Each cabin and room includes amenities such as free toiletries, cookware, an electric kettle, and a flat-screen TV.
Dining at Glacier House
The Gallery Restaurant is open for breakfast during the summer and winter seasons, from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM, with views of Mt. Begbie. A complimentary continental breakfast includes bagels, muffins, fruits, waffles, hot food, cereals, coffee, tea, and juices. Guests can fuel up with a hot American-style breakfast buffet, also served in the Gallery Restaurant. The Glacier House Pub is open during the winter season from 4:30 PM to 10:00 PM and offers appetizers, salads, and entrees. Children's menus are available. Guests can order lunches from the front desk by 8:00 PM for preparation by 8:45 AM the following morning.
Recreation and Activities
Glacier House Resort is located near various recreational activities. Guests can hike directly from their rooms to discover Moses Falls. Snowshoe rentals are available for exploring trails. The Nordic Day Lodge and Mount Macpherson offer 26 kilometers of groomed trails for classic and skating techniques. The best trails for skating are Mickey Olson Loop, Easy Al's, and Main Loop. Six kilometers of lit trails are available for night skiing until 9:30 PM. Custom guided tours are available. Guests may use the public hot tub in the Lodge building at no additional cost. The property also lends itself to large gatherings, marquee setups, and training courses.
Location and Access
Glacier House Resort is located a 10-minute drive from Revelstoke Bridge, nestled between the Selkirk and Monashee mountain ranges. Revelstoke is 6 hours north of Vancouver and 4.5 hours south of Calgary via the Trans-Canada Highway. The BC Interior Forestry Museum is 1 km away. Other landmarks nearby include the Nels Nelsen Historic Ski Jump (4.5 km), Revelstoke Museum and Archives (5.5 km), Revelstoke Visual Arts Centre (4.5 km), and Revelstoke Railway Museum (5 km). Moses Falls is 2.5 km away, and the Skunk Cabbage Boardwalk is 5 km from the resort. Revelstoke is one of the towns where you can view a glacier all year round from downtown.
