wonderful ryokan stay!

prime locationlovely stafffresh flowers
the ryokan is in a prime location close to train and bus routes! it is in the middle of gion, but a nice quiet spot. the staff are lovely, and it's clear that a lot of effort is put in, for example, new flowers was in the room everyday!
the curfew at 11pm felt a bit restrictive!

This ryokan offered a immersive experience. The staff went out of their way each day to ensure my stay was wonderful , offering fresh flowers in the room and tea with cookies upon arrival. They even provided a complimentary tea ceremony for staff training. The location proved convenient, with access to both the station and nearby dining and shopping options.
I noticed the bathroom could use some updating. The facilities felt a little dated , but it didn't drastically impact the overall experience.

the overall experience didn't quite meet our expectations. when we arrived, we were taken to our room and quickly served tea, a nice gesture but it felt a bit rushed. the staff tried their best, but none of them spoke english, so communication was difficult.

The Staff Was very polite. The japanese breakfast was a highlight, staff explained each dish served. A tour of the ryokan showed many interesting details. The location IS excellent, close to key landmarks in the district.

An Authentic Ryokan Experience

The location is great. It is a short walk to restaurants and attractions. Breakfast was delicious. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
