Deluxe rooms accommodate up to four people and feature a TV, Wi-Fi, a refrigerator, and a kettle with coffee and tea; some face the hotel garden, Øyfjellet, and the river, while others face Strandgata. The historic suite has a separate bedroom, a spacious bathroom, and a lounge for meetings or private dining. The modern suite, opened in May 2015, accommodates up to four people and features views of the hotel gardens and the Vefsna river. The smallest, most affordable rooms provide basic amenities for two people. Some rooms accommodate pets for an additional fee. All guests have access to lounges and hotel gardens.
Dining and Drinks
The hotel includes Restaurant Ellen and Fruen Bar in the oldest part, serving food and drinks in historic surroundings. Restaurant Ellen's menu features ingredients from Northern Norway, inspired by global cuisine, and is open Monday to Sunday from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM (kitchen closes at 10:00 PM). Hjørnet Bar offers cocktails, pints, and wine with music and a view of the Vefsna river and Øyfjell mountain; the Cakebar is open daily from 11:00 AM. Restaurant Hagestuen is a banquet hall for celebrations and serves a varied à la carte menu with Norwegian and international dishes; breakfast and lunch are also served here. Guests can enjoy Mrs Haugan's Afternoon Tea in one of the hotel's living rooms. A breakfast buffet features homemade food with local ingredients. Drop-in breakfast is available for NOK 165, and a breakfast to-go option is NOK 100.
Leisure Activities
Fru Haugans Hotel provides opportunities for adventures in Helgeland, including freshwater and deep-sea fishing, hiking, kayaking, and rafting. Guests can explore the midnight sun, hike majestic mountains, go island hopping, and kayak across clear waters. A hubriding concept for MC guests offers five different routes with experiences of coast, sea, fjords, mountains, and parts of Sweden. The hotel partners with Saltenfly Bodø AS for seaplane tours, offering bird's-eye views of Helgeland and landings at the hotel's floating jetty. Standup Paddleboard (SUP) adventures down the Vefsna river are available for guests weighing up to 100 kg and aged six years and older. Guests also have free access to the hotel's lounges and gardens.
