Rooms at Far View
Far View Lodge has 150 rooms with Wi-Fi. Guests can select between Kiva Rooms and Kiva Deluxe View Rooms. Kiva Rooms feature custom handcrafted furniture and private balconies. Kiva rooms include wider doorways, curb cuts, ramp access, roll-in showers with grab bars, shower seats, heat and air conditioning. Kiva Deluxe View Rooms include the amenities of the Kiva Room and unobstructed views from a private balcony. Rooms have either one king or two double beds. All room rates are based on double occupancy. Rollaway beds are not available. Pets are welcome in specific Standard rooms, with a maximum of two pets allowed at a fee of $25.00 per pet. Note that housekeepers will not enter a room with a pet or service animal.
Dining Options
The Metate Room features Native American artwork and a menu inspired by regional heritage foods. Far View Terrace Café, located near Far View Lodge, offers meals and views. Guests can enjoy the Mesa Mocha Espresso Bar at Far View Terrace Café. The Far View Terrace Cafe has a casual food-court setting with a breakfast buffet, omelet station, and standard breakfast items. For lunch, guests can find daily specials, including salads, sandwiches, pizza, and pasta. The Far View Lounge offers pub fare, appetizers, snacks, cocktails, beer, and wine.
Leisure and Entertainment
Far View Lodge features an Entertainment Center on the lower level, including a satellite TV, pool table, shuffleboard, and an arcade game with Pac-Man, Galaga, and 29 other classic titles. Mesa Verde National Park houses around 74 species of mammals, 200 species of birds, 16 species of reptiles, 5 species of amphibians, 6 species of fishes, and over 1,000 species of insects and other invertebrates. Two areas of the Mesa Verde National Park are open year-round: Spruce Tree House cliff dwelling and the Mesa Top Loop Road (weather permitting), which has early surface sites and mesa rim views of the cliff dwellings. Comprehensive interpretive half-day ranger-guided bus tours are available.
Location and Access
Far View Lodge is 15 miles from the Mesa Verde National Park entrance and 50 km from Cortez Municipal Airport. Mesa Verde National Park is located in the southwest corner of Colorado. To reach Mesa Verde National Park, take US-160W to the Mesa Verde National Park exit. The museum and Chapin Mesa sites are approximately 20 miles from the entrance gate. Nearby landmarks include Far View Archeological Site (2.5 km), Spruce Tree House (3.5 km), and Park Point Overlook Trail (3.5 km).
