The Driskill features 189 guestrooms and 14 suites. The 1886 Suites (400-415 square feet) include a king bed or two queen beds and a separate living room area, featuring historic columns seen throughout the lobby and the mezzanine. Landmark Suites (490-595 square feet) include hardwood floors and soaring ceilings; some feature balconies or large soaking tubs. The Lone Star Suite offers floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Brazos Street, and a dressing room with tri-panel, floor-length mirrors. The Cattle Baron Suite (1,230 square feet) includes a king bed, two queen beds, two full bathrooms, a dining room with seating for eight, and a living room with a fireplace.
Dining at Driskill
The Driskill Grill is known for dry-aged steaks. The 1886 Café & Bakery is open daily from 7 AM to 2 PM, serving traditional Texas comfort foods that combine time-honored original recipes with contemporary preparation; specialties include bread pudding French toast, Texas pecan waffles, and 1886 chocolate cake. The Driskill Bar is open daily from 2 PM to 12 PM, and features live music daily. Guests may dine on dishes such as Helen Corbitt's Cheese Soup, Texas Shaped Pecan Waffle and Quiche Lorraine, or Fried Chicken Sandwich.
Leisure and Activities
Guests booking the Keeping Up With The Johnsons package receive one hour paddleboard or kayak rental on Lady Bird Lake and two tickets to the LBJ Presidential Library. The hotel offers Bolos & Bourbon workshops, where guests can learn to craft a custom Bolo Tie while sampling three pours of Bourbon. A Mother's Day Grand Tea takes place on the Mezzanine.
