Det Lille Hotel offers 9 double rooms in Tollboden with views of Risør's Tollboden. It offers 19 suites in old wooden houses, each with a maritime theme reflecting the town's history. Suites feature a flat-screen TV, music player with an iPod dock, and a kitchen. Suites are located by the garden, including those in Konsulatet and Gjestehuset. Some suites have a dining table, and kitchens are equipped. Some suites have a patio or balcony. Select suites feature a fireplace, ship floors, and décor inspired by the "Amerikabåtene."
Dining at Det Lille
Tollboden 1865 restaurant provides an a la carte menu. For groups of 20 or more in winter, the restaurant opens upon request. Breakfast includes freshly squeezed orange juice, homemade bread and jam, eggs and bacon, cold meats, blueberry pancakes, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals, coffee, and specialty teas. A set menu is available in advance. Guests can order egg and bacon, sliced cold cuts, fruit and vegetables, a selection of cheeses, smoked salmon and herring, pastries, granola and cereals, and porridge upon request. Juice and smoothie are available.

Guests have access to free hotel bikes. Suites by the garden have access to a heated swimming pool. Maridalen performs with Erland Dahlen. Riksteatret presents Prima Facie. Risør Kammermusikkfest takes place for the 35th time. A liquor tasting offers three types of spirits, such as rum, aquavit, and gin. It is a short distance to everything, including shops and the inner harbor. Buvika, where one suite is located, is a short walk from the inner harbor and Torvet. The location is near a swimming spot and Urheia nature area. Trains run from Oslo or Stavanger to Gjerstad, a half-hour drive from Risør; taxi service can be arranged.
