Leisure and Activities
Guests at Del Sol have access to a swimming pool 100 yards down the beach. Bike, snorkel gear, beach towels, and kayaks are available for rent at the front desk. The clear waters around Akumal offer over thirty dive sites. The front desk can provide information on snorkeling and diving tours to less-traveled cenotes. Snorkeling is available right out in front of the property to see marine life.
Location and Access
Del Sol Beachfront is located on Half Moon Bay, 65 miles south of Cancun on the Yucatan Peninsula's Caribbean coast. The property is 40 km from Aeropuerto de Playa del Carmen. Landmarks nearby include Yal-ku Lagoon (0.3 km) and Akumal Beach (0.5 km). The main part of Akumal, with a bakery, restaurants, dive shops, yoga studio, and gift shops, is within walking distance. Taxi fare within Akumal is about $5.
