Hotel De La Parra offers 13 air-conditioned rooms with iPod docking stations and LCD televisions. Most rooms are entered via wide common walkways through French doors. Guests can choose rooms with a safety deposit box and a luxurious private hot tub. All guestrooms include premium bedding and pillow menus. The hotel features a Master Suite (55m2 with views to the outside), a Junior Suite (30m2 with a sofa bed, coffee maker, and mini-fridge), and a Doble Matrimonial (25m2 with a pillow menu, free WiFi, smart TV, air conditioner, and coffee maker).
Dining Options
La Mesa restaurant serves meals with traditional Oaxacan flavors in an open-air courtyard setting. The restaurant is located around the open-air courtyard where five prettily dressed tables populate La Mesa. A daily breakfast (from 7:15 am) includes freshly squeezed fruit juices, seasonal fruits, and traditional Oaxacan choices (average cost: $90 MXN - $180 MXN per person). The bar serves cocktails, mezcal, craft beers, soft drinks and international cocktails (open 1 pm to 10 pm).
Leisure & Entertainment
One of La Parra's biggest attributes is its gorgeous courtyard pool -- a decent size by Oaxaca standards, surrounded by wide walkways with magical gardens and plenty of sun beds. There is also space allocated for guests on the terrace, right on the roof of the building. Guests can organize tours to nearby archaeological sites and traditional palenques where different types of mezcal are distilled. The Zapotec Center of Monte Albán is 5 km from the hotel. Additional landmarks include Santo Domingo Church, the Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Basilica of Our Lady of Solitude.
