Location near Venetian Port
Danaos Hotel is located on the seafront of Nea Chora, 1 km from the Venetian port of Chania and 16 km from the airport. The hotel provides access to the beach and is close to the city center. Marker point 'B' is the Hotel. The big Venetian Lighthouse is located at the entrance of the Venetian Port. Nea Chora is where you can find the local open air market, overflowing with seasonal fruit and vegetables as well as clothing and household items every Thursday throughout the year. Along the promenade you can find restaurants, where people from the city meet with friends and family for lunch or dinner. Guests can reach the center of Chania by strolling along the sea side to the Venetian harbor in 15 minutes, or they can take the city bus that stops a few meters from the hotel. The bus goes to the central bus station and stops in front of the historical Market Hall. The Maritime Museum of Crete is located at the entrance of the historical fortress ' Firkas '.
