Rooms: Literary Inspiration
Cretan Renaissance, located in a preserved Venetian manor house, offers four apartments named after heroines of Cretan literature: Erophéle, Aretoúsa, Panórea, and Dolcétta. Each room is inspired by a love story from the Cretan Renaissance (1211-1669). Erophéle features views of the Old Port of Chania and references the 16th-century tragedy by Georgios Hortátsis. Aretoúsa is inspired by the poem 'Erotókritos' by Vincenzos Kornáros. Dolchetta draws inspiration from the 17th-century comedy 'The Forgotten Fiancée' with a panoramic view of the Old Port. Panórea is inspired by the Bucolic Drama 'Panórea' by Georgios Hortátsis. Each soundproofed, air-conditioned suite includes Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV, and a kitchenette with a refrigerator, kitchenware, and a tea/coffee maker. Three of the four rooms include a hot tub/Jacuzzi.
