i found it easy to locate the hotel. breakfast was excellent, cooked fresh, very tasty and served on hot plates. it was an excellent experience. i really liked the quiet location.

i couldn't find a hairdryer, even though it was advertised as being in the room

The bedrooms were VERY superb and well-thought out. it WAS wonderfully quiet. breakfast was beautifully prepared AND even the bacon was done to perfection. I NEVER see that!

i found that there was NO hairdryer, even though this was advertised as being in the room. that's a big ommission.

this location is very SUITED for specific travel needs. the village has BEAUTIFUL walks easily accessible directly from the hotel. i noticed the hotel provides a TRANQUIL escape WITH scenic routes nearby.

i received a very friendly welcome. the room was nice and offered good working space. supper included a great ale and beef pie. i found a well-cooked full english breakfast served in the morning (especially the scrambled egg!).

the hotel offers effective wifi, handy since o2 mobile signal does not reach the area. the location is perfect for walks directly from the hotel. i appreciated this a lot.

mixed feelings about my stay

disappointing breakfastuntidy backyard

the cooked breakfast was a let down. i expected more for the price i paid. also, the backyard had unnecessary rubbish lying around. its a shame because the location is nice, but some areas need some attention. the room was otherwise acceptable, but these issues did affect the experience.
