Nearby landmarks include the Monument of French guerrillas (3.5 km), Strečno Castle (4 km), Rozhladna na vrchu Spicak (4.5 km), Memorial of the French Partisans (3.5 km), Asfaltove Jazero (4 km), Church of Saints Cyril and Methodius (4.5 km), Historic Town Hall (3 km), JUNGLE PARK Mojs (3 km), and Sprava Narodneho Parku Mala Fatra (2 km). The château is surrounded by a historic park. The first known cadastral map of the village of Gbeľany, dating from 1864, shows a regularly shaped park with four large areas of shrubbery. The tomb of Dr Ferdinand Majláth, the last lord of the Gbeľany estate, is located in the Dielec woods. Walking is possible in the calm environment of an English park.
