Hotel Carmel is located in Trastevere, on the west side of the River Tiber. The hotel is located near Tiberina Island, Janiculum Hill, Circus Maximus, Bocca della Verità, the Colosseum, and the Roman Forum. A walk through Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere and down Lungotevere della Farnesina will take you to St Peter's Basilica. Minutes away across the river Tiber is the city's Jewish area, with its Great Synagogue, kosher restaurants and shops.
