Fantastic Stay Near the Railway!

immaculate room fresh bedding convenient location
The room was immaculate!!! It felt more like staying at a friend's home than a hotel. Towels and bedding smelt SO fresh! The location is great as the beach is a ten minute walk and the steam train station is just a minute away.
Leaving involved navigating a steep metal external staircase while carrying bags since the pub door wasn't open yet.
Location
9/10
The hotel provides excellent access to the Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Railway, directly across the street. several nearby restaurants and a local Co-op store offer convenient dining and shopping options if you need anything during your stay.
Service
10/10
The manager quickly showed us where we could safely store our bikes during our cycle tour. The staff ensured the room was cleaned on our second day. fresh towels, coffee, and milk were provided, which I appreciated SO MUCH!!!
Facilities
8/10
The hotel can be accessed through a pub, which provides a unique and interesting experience. The room included good quality bedding and towels, and despite being above the pub, it was really quiet and comfortable.
Dining
8/10
While the hotel no longer has its own restaurant, numerous dining options are available in the surrounding area, offering various choices. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, so guests have access to great alternatives for meals.

broken door lock unavailable breakfast
the location proved perfect for visiting the railway. i could not have asked for a better spot.
I was surprised there was no breakfast available, and the kitchen was closed. i saw a poster outside advertising food, so i expected something. the door lock on my room was broken, and the television volume did not work. It was all quite disappointing.

Underwhelming Stay

dirty bins no greeting
The room lacked proper heating. I found the bins in the room were also quite dirty. I did receive a text about my arrival time. no staff greeted me upon arrival to show the room or provide instructions. I chose to leave before breakfast due to the cold, seeking warmth in my car instead.

locked door fire risk
The staff was helpful and suggested places for us to visit. The pub downstairs was nice.
I found that the main door was locked when I wanted to leave, and there was no one around. I had to find my way out through a back door. This was a fire risk. A sign said, 'Smile you're on CCTV,' like I chose to exit this way.
