The staff provided excellent recommendations for restaurants and a private gondola trip with drinks. our room featured a little veranda. It was very charming. breakfast included lots of fresh produce to start the day.

the hotel only provided one bottle of water per person, although we stayed three nights.

the location is beautiful (loved being right on the grand canal!). the staff was helpful arranging a water taxi for dinner. the breakfast had lots of sweet and savory options. the bathroom was spacious with good water pressure and hot water.

the hotel arranged a car and porter instead of a water taxi when i arrived from the ferry. this resulted in a less picturesque arrival through a less appealing part of the city.
